Screen shot comparison of the original Princess Bride to the Special Edition. Same player (ATI 4.1) with identical settings. Even though it's letter boxed instead of anamorphic, I like the orignal better. Check these out and judge for yourself.
Special edition, overall darker, trees and lighting looks more like evening rather than full daylight. Less aparent shadow detail.
Special edition, skin tones look yellow, less shadow detail, blood looks dull.
